Innovative companies in the region open doors for students – so did EK AUTOMATION

Networking science and business in the district of Harburg is one of the main targets of...


... the TIP Innovation Park Nordheide, which the WLH Wirtschaftsförderung in the district of Harburg GmbH is currently developing in Buchholz i.d.N. This includes to enable students to exchange technological know-how with leading companies. So students from the Department of Trade and Logistics at the Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences were allowed to take a look behind the scenes at E&K Automation GmbH in Rosengarten.

Jan Drömer, CIO at E&K, gave insights into the work of the company and led trough the event which took place on 18 September 2019.

"We are very pleased that the companies were so open to present their technologies and that they took their time to give the students an insight view into the different areas of work," says Anne Schneider, WLH Project Manager Innovation. Jens Wrede, Managing Director of WLH, adds: "Especially because the district of Harburg does not have a university location, the networking of science and business is also important to us beyond the county boundaries. As a business development, we are working on an easier transfer of technology to companies."
