EK AUTOMATION is a partner of the research project "INTUITIV" funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) to design human-robot interaction in the care sector. In the course of this high-tech project, we are looking for a new employee at our headquarters in Rosengarten near Hamburg or at our second German Reutlingen with immediate effect.

Development Engineer, Research Engineer, Software Engineer, Software Developer (m/f/d) in the field of automation technology, robotics

Your challenges will include

  • Within the research project INTUITIV you develop methods and technologies for navigation, SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), guidance control and object recognition for mobile robots
  • With modern tools and frameworks you develop algorithms and convert them into innovative software solutions for automatic guided vehicles
  • You will accompany the entire R&D project from specification to system architecture to roll-out and coordinate the R&D process with our research partners and users
  • In addition, you will support the software development of customer projects with architecture, design and algorithms

The special features

    In the high-tech project INTUITIV you transfer methods and procedures from current research in the field of mobile robotics into practice and thus bring robots for assistance functions in hospitals to life in the future

    What makes you stand out

    • You have successfully completed your studies in computer science, engineering, mathematics or physics; alternatively, you have a comparable qualification
    • You have sound knowledge of methods and procedures in the field of navigation, sensor function and image processing for automatic guided vehicles
    • You are a passionate programmer and have very good knowledge of C++
    • For robot control and sensor data processing you are familiar to use appropriate frameworks such as ROS, OpenCV and PCL
    • German basic knowledge completes your profile
