We design automated intralogistics solutions including their development, manufacture, integration, turnkey delivery and care throughout the system lifecycle.

EK AUTOMATION is a partner of the research project "INTUITIV" funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) to design human-robot interaction in healthcare. In the course of this high-tech project, we are looking for a new employee at our headquarters in Rosengarten near Hamburg or at our second German site Reutlingen with immediate effect.

Linux Software Developer C++ (m/f/d) in the field of automation technology, robotics, embedded

Your challenges will include

  • Within the research project INTUITIV you will develop software modules for navigation, SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), behavior control and object recognition for mobile robots
  • For the further development of our transport robots, you will implement innovative concepts in machine learning, robot control and computer vision
  • You will work out the concepts from the system specification to the implementation for automatic guided vehicles in C++ under Linux
  • Design build and deployment processes using Continuous Integration, Git, and container techniques such as Docker

    In the high-tech project INTUITIV you transfer methods and procedures from current research in the field of mobile robotics into practice and thus bring robots for assistance functions in hospitals to life in the future

    What makes you stand out

    • You have successfully completed your studies in computer science, engineering, mathematics or physics; alternatively, you have a comparable qualification
    • You are a passionate programmer and have very good knowledge of C++
    • You are familiar with scripting languages and Linux software development tools, ideally you have experience with libraries and frameworks like ROS and OpenCV
    • You use your independent way of working and your strong analytical thinking skills to find fast and good solutions for problems in transport robotics
    • German basic knowledge completes your profile
